Outseta alternatives: what actually replaces the CRM and the help desk
Most "Outseta alternatives" lists drift into HubSpot and Salesforce, tools Outseta never competed with. Here is what actually replaces its no-code login, paywall and help desk.
In short
Most Outseta alternatives lists mix in generic CRMs like HubSpot, never really what Outseta replaced. The closer no-code peers are MemberSpace and Memberstack, paywall and membership tools for Webflow-style sites without a bundled CRM or help desk. BuildBase fits once the product is a real codebase, not a page builder.
Search "outseta alternatives" and roughly half the results point to HubSpot, Salesforce and Pipedrive. Those are real CRMs, and they are not what anyone paying for Outseta is actually trying to replace.
The one-paragraph answer
Cost is the most common complaint, and the fix sits close by: MemberSpace and Memberstack gate content and collect payments the same way Outseta does, minus the CRM and help desk, which is also why they tend to read cheaper against a small contact list. A thin CRM is a different complaint entirely. Pair a simpler paywall tool with a real CRM instead - nothing in this post replaces Outseta and HubSpot at once. And if the site has quietly turned into a product with a codebase behind it, BuildBase is built for that shape, though it drops the CRM and help desk too.
What "Outseta alternative" actually means
Outseta's own pitch is one login for a handful of jobs a no-code SaaS or membership site needs: gated content, subscription billing, a lightweight CRM, email, and a help desk with live chat and tickets, wired into Webflow, Squarespace and Framer through embeddable forms. Most alternatives content ignores that bundle and ranks by whatever review site happens to list Outseta under "CRM software," which is how a search for a no-code paywall tool ends up recommending Salesforce.
The two tools that actually compete for the same reader are MemberSpace and Memberstack. Both live in the same "gate a Webflow site and take payments" category Outseta does. Neither ships a CRM or a help desk, which is the trade every reader leaving Outseta for one of them is making, whether or not the comparison says so out loud.
Where each one fits
MemberSpace - the simplest swap for pure content gating. It plugs into Webflow, Squarespace and other builders the same way Outseta does, and its whole job is member accounts and paywalled pages rather than a wider business toolkit. If the only Outseta features actually in use are the login and the paywall, MemberSpace does that narrower job without the CRM and support-desk weight sitting unused behind it.
Memberstack - more control over the login itself. Memberstack leans further into letting a Webflow Designer own the styling of the signup and login modals directly, plus supports more custom logic around gated content than a simpler paywall tool. It is a closer fit for someone who wants member accounts to feel native to their site's design rather than dropped in as a widget.
BuildBase - once the page builder is the constraint, not the destination. Outseta vs BuildBase covers this trade in more depth, but the short version: BuildBase assumes code from the start. Auth, subscription billing, multi-tenant workspaces and role-based access ship as @buildbase/sdk, called from inside an app you are writing rather than a page you are building. It has no CRM module and no help desk module across its 20 modules - the same gap MemberSpace and Memberstack leave, just on the other side of the no-code line.
| Feature | BuildBase | Outseta |
|---|---|---|
| Integration model | SDK called from your own codebase | Embeddable JS forms plus a REST API |
| No-code page builder support | Not the target use case | Native Webflow integration, works with Squarespace and Framer |
| CRM | Not a module - user and audience management only | Built in, tracks contacts and deals |
| Help desk / support tickets | Not a module | Built in, live chat and tickets |
| Team memberships | Workspaces with per-member roles - a core module | Team mode - multiple users share one membership |
| Auth methods | Eight built in: email/password, Google, LinkedIn, GitHub, Microsoft, magic link, passkeys, OAuth 2.0 | Email/password and social sign-in via embedded forms |
Where Outseta wins
The bundle itself is the genuine advantage, and none of the three alternatives in this post fully replace it. Outseta is the only one of the four that ships a CRM and a help desk behind the same login as billing and content gating - MemberSpace and Memberstack skip both, and BuildBase has neither in its 20-module catalog either. It also supports Team mode, where several people share one membership, which is closer to how a small B2B customer actually buys than an individual paywall account. If the CRM and the support desk are pulling their weight already, replacing Outseta means adding two more vendors back, not fewer.
Pricing, as far as it can be verified today
Every price quoted for Outseta, MemberSpace or Memberstack in third-party roundups disagreed with at least one other source we checked while researching this post - not by a rounding error, but by whole tiers. That is the sign to describe the shape instead of a number nobody re-verified against the vendor's own page today.
Outseta prices by contact-list size rather than by seat: a handful of tiers, unlimited team members on each, and a transaction fee that falls as the tier goes up. MemberSpace and Memberstack both price by member count with a similar declining-transaction-fee shape as an account grows. Exact tier prices and fee percentages are deliberately left out here rather than repeated from a roundup: each vendor's own pricing page is the only source current enough to quote.
BuildBase prices differently again: a flat monthly fee against monthly active users rather than contacts or members, with no transaction fee. Launch is $49/mo for 25,000 MAU, Grow is $99/mo for 100,000 MAU, and Scale is $199/mo for 500,000 MAU - full detail, including workspace and storage allowances, at /pricing. There is no free plan, but every plan carries a 7-day trial that does not ask for a card. Storage is the only quota that bills overage, at $0.10 per GB beyond the plan allowance.
Contact-based or member-based pricing and flat MAU pricing are not comparable line by line. A list-heavy, revenue-light product reads cheaper on the MAU model; a high-revenue product with a short contact list can read cheaper on a percentage-of-revenue model. Whichever shape you are actually comparing against, check the vendor's own pricing page the day you decide - the discrepancies we hit researching this post are the reason, not a hedge.
How to actually decide
Ask what is actually being used today. If it is the login and the paywall and nothing else, MemberSpace or Memberstack does that narrower job without paying for CRM and help-desk weight sitting idle. If the CRM and the support inbox are load-bearing, none of the three alternatives here are a real swap - the honest move is pairing a simpler paywall tool with a dedicated CRM, which is close to rebuilding what Outseta already bundles, just from separate vendors. And if the site has turned into a product with real users, teams and roles rather than a page with a login on it, that is the point BuildBase starts from, not Outseta's.
We priced what assembling a stack from separate point tools costs in the real monthly cost of Clerk plus Stripe plus Lago plus Knock - the arithmetic holds whether the vendor list starts with Outseta or something else. Our own numbers live at /pricing; Outseta's, MemberSpace's and Memberstack's live on their own sites, and are worth checking before any of them go into a budget.
